Combine Design Sucks

My Experience with Combine Design - So that other people can save themselves from the trauma

I have yet to work with a more incompetent vendor. Avoid them like the plague. None of the employees are capable of getting any kind of interior work done. They seem to have hired people who are probably worse than local contractors both in terms of professionalism and work. I made the first payment on 7th December, the first real deadline they gave me was 15 March which happened after a lot of running after them since they were so lax it seemed they didn't care about the project. On 14th March they said it will get extended due to holidays to 18th March, On 18th March they said they are yet to receive panels and they forgot to inform me about how they would have to remove sinks from all washrooms to put a unit below them, hence it would take more time.

Specific issues:

  • • I gave them a generous timeline, because of which they had not even started the work until one month after me paying the advance.
  • • The employees who made the sale, left the company while the project was going on. Money Singh the manager left within a month of selling me this scam.
  • • I think all of them saw a sprinkler for the first time in their lives, which is why nobody could account for it. They made a hole in the false ceiling to accommodate for the false ceiling without consulting with me. It looked so ugly I had to break the whole false ceiling and get it redone. They missed another sprinkler in one of the rooms which I told them about. Maybe they should hire me as a consultant because they have zero attention to detail.
  • • I reduced their scope of work seeing their attitude, even then the project got delayed. I wonder what would have happened if I had given all the work to them.
  • • I got a loan from their loan partner liquiloans. The day the loan got disbursed I was asked for more money by Vivek. It was a no-cost EMI loan, for which some charges are borne by the merchant. Which apparently none of them knew.
  • • They mentioned they will help with color selection for furniture, curtains, etc while selling. Sri Nitte said they will go with us to the furniture store to help us select. But when I asked for help later they sent a few photos and recommended a random vendor. Anyway Sri Nitte was gone by then so what could I really do.
  • • There was a difference between the 3d file and actual renders, which I didn't notice since I thought the 3d files were the final look. This is probably on me, but something to be careful about.
  • • All the bathrooms were supposed to have cabinets below the sink. I was informed that I would need to get the sink removed and granite/marble put on top of the cabinet and then reinstall the sink. This is on 18th March. They very conveniently forgot it until the delivery date had passed.
  • • Nobody feel the need to respond to messages and calls. Everyone says they will call back in 10 minutes, but then I don't get a call for days. I think they live in a different time dilation. This is also probably on me. Also, Sai Ram avoids my calls/messages like how I want to avoid them.
  • • Johnson, the so-called project manager had the gall to ask me to be polite with him while he didn't want to take any responsibility or accountability. He even went on to say that Leela had promised me the dates and not him, so it's not his fault.
